Note from the Artist:
Title: Still Growing / This piece is all about the moments, good and bad, that form the landscape of one's personality. We are each composed of a jungle of thoughts, emotions, memories and choices - when we embrace all these aspects of ourselves, we grow and bloom. In this surreal design, the plant elements and portrait outline have been deliberately illustrated in a manner that makes them hard to separate upon first glance - this was an effort to further represent the messy relationship between our internal thoughts and experiences, and our external self. This design features a portrait of an individual with top surgery scars - a little detail included to further enhance the idea of forming one's external self and the idea that no physical change will alter our core identities - no part of a person is lost or surrendered when transitioning, there is only new beauty and a new external self to be found. / Fitted perfectly to the green 100% silk bomber, this piece took roughly a week to complete and makes for a comfortable, versatile, and incredibly unique clothing item.
