Title : Night Life / Moths come out at night - and so do we. This piece is inspired by the culture and freedom of queer nightlife. It is intended to reference the importance of queer spaces and the opportunities they create to gather as a community and form an identity for oneself. The moths symbolize a connection to night and to these spaces, but also growth and transition. The intense process as it breaks itself down from the caterpillar stage and reforms itself to emerge as a beautiful moth reminds me of the intense process of finding one's identity and the many challenges often faced along the way.
